CSBP needed a reliable and durable Shelter Solution to provide over 6000m2 total storage space.
CSBP is a large manufacturer of chemicals and fertiliser and required a warehouse facility to provide temporary storage for goods in transit, both for exported and imported goods.
The challenge was to provide a cost effective solution that could be supplied to their site with minimal disruption to the manufacturing plant. Hence speed of installation was essential. The site, although within Australian wind code region A, is on the coastal strip and subject to high prevailing winds.
Traditional steel buildings were considered, but were far more expensive than the modern Fabric Shelter alternative.
DomeShelter Australia were able to design and manufacture eleven Fabric Shelters, with end walls and doors, and deliver to site for installation by a team of three in just three weeks. They were mounted on standard 40ft sea containers, which were pre-filled with existing sand supplies on the site as ballast. Each shelter was inter-connected and linked to custom built guttering. Special louvred barn doors were fitted that catered to the wind conditions but kept the shelters waterproofed.
Special fire retardant fabric was also utilised to meet the clients safety requirements.
Choosing Container Mounted DomeShelter™ Structures was hugely beneficial for CSBP, leading to lower total project costs, quicker installation and reduced impact and disruption to the plant throughout installation. The eleven Fabric Shelters now provide over 6000m2 of functional warehouse space that is durable and Fit-For-Purpose. And they look good too!
