October is National Safe Work Month – a timely reminder of the importance of safe workplaces and environments.
Work-related injury and illness is no stranger to individuals and families of every community.
“According to the International Labour Organization, more than 7 600 people die from work-related accidents or diseases every single day.” (ISO)
DomeShelter Australia has committed to a safe work environment from its beginnings in the early 90s. Every day, further improvements are made, to ensure that we provide a safe environment for our people.
But Safe Work is more than that.
It’s a mindset – it requires every individual to think about the actions they take, and choose the appropriate actions, so that they, and those around them can go home safe every day.
That’s why the theme of this month is think safe. work safe. be safe
What we do to ensure Safe Work:
1. Provide a safe environment for our people.
Our people are our no.1 biggest asset, and their safety is of our highest priority.
Every procedure & environment is carefully considered to ensure it’s safe. And we are consistently on the lookout for better ways to avoid injuries.
As a result, we comply with the international standard ISO 45001 – a standard that requires strict compliance to ensure that we ‘do what we say, and say what we do.’
2. Providing a safe solution to our clients.
In remote locations, a DomeShelter™ Structure is like a retreat. It’s where your people can work, and assets are stored, out of the elements, keeping them safe. So investing in a Fabric shelter solution that is proven and safe is critical. And that is why we engineer our products here in Australia, to international standards, to make sure your people and assets are protected from the harmful effects of the elements.
So yes, ‘being safe’ is no cliché for us. We take it seriously, and we hope you do too.
