Workshop manager for Orionstone, been here for about 11 years. We hire earthmoving machinery to the mining community and the construction industry. Rental solutions, we offer a full hire and maintenance package.
We’ve got two Shelters here which we originally built for our boilermakers, and we did them with the mesh endwall so we could get some air flow through there to keep them cool in summer, also to keep the water out.
The big one here is for our washpad, which has been very very successful, about three or four years old now. We can go up to a 777 or a 785 that we can just squeeze in there, trucks, and wash in there without spraying the stuff all over the place, very good situation.
There is cheaper stuff out there, they don’t last, the proof is this one is eight years old, we had one minor tear through some damage that was done to it but that’s it, it’s still as good as the day we put it up there.
We’re a forward thinking company, we’re trying our hardest, it’s a very hard market right now, we’re trying to vary our work a great deal. At the end of the day it’s still nice machinery that goes through the site, we try to be as efficient if not more efficient than most, we try to back ourselves and our product support, we’ve got a very good full service team that look after our equipment, so we like to think that we’re a good choice.
